At Printhive, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. We try to keep this in plain English, no legal jargon.
1. Who We Are
Printhive is a business owned and operated by Saurabh Raturi, based in Delhi, India. You can contact us at teamprinthive@gmail.com.
2. What Data We Collect
When you create an account:
- Your name and email address
- If signing in via Google: your Google display name and photo (we don't see your password)
When you place an order:
- Delivery address (full address, city, state, pincode)
- Phone number
- Optional: gift message, Instagram handle, occasion
- Items ordered, total amount
- UPI transaction ID and payment screenshot
When you create a pet tag:
- Pet name, type, breed, age, gender (optional)
- Owner contact info (your name, phone, backup phone, address)
- Optional: pet photo, medical info, allergies
When you request a return:
- Reason for return
- Any photos you upload as evidence
- Your refund preference
Automatically:
- Browser type, device info (for site optimization)
- Pages you visit on our site
- Pet tag QR scan counter (number of scans, not identity of scanner)
3. How We Use Your Data
We only use your data to:
- Process and ship your orders
- Send you order updates (email + WhatsApp)
- Verify payments
- Display your pet's info on the public profile page when their QR is scanned
- Handle returns and refunds
- Improve our products and website
- Reply to your support questions
We do NOT:
- Sell your data to anyone
- Share your data with marketers
- Use your data for ads
- Track you across other websites
4. Who Has Access
Inside Printhive:
Only Saurabh Raturi and authorized admin partners have access to your data. Each admin has their own login — no shared accounts.
Service providers we use:
- Firebase (Google Cloud): Stores your account, order, and pet tag data. Hosted in Mumbai region.
- Resend: Sends order confirmation emails on our behalf.
- Vercel: Hosts our website.
These providers may have access to data necessary to provide their service, but they're contractually bound to keep it private.
5. Pet Tag QR Profiles (Public Data)
Pet tag profiles are intentionally public — that's the whole point. Anyone who scans your pet's QR code can see:
- Pet's name, photo, type, breed
- Your phone number(s) and name
- Your address (if you entered one)
- Medical info you chose to share
- Whether the pet is in "Lost Mode"
You can edit or hide this info anytime from your account. Only enter info you're comfortable being public.
6. Email & WhatsApp Communications
We'll send you:
- Order confirmations and status updates (transactional, can't opt out while order is active)
- Occasional product launches or offers (you can opt out via email link)
- Replies to your questions
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal cookies — just enough to keep you logged in and remember items in your cart. We don't use third-party tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Analytics tracking identifiers tied to you).
8. Data Retention
We keep your data only as long as needed:
- Orders: Kept indefinitely for accounting and legal compliance (required by Indian GST law for at least 6 years)
- Account: Until you delete it
- Pet tags: Until you delete them (we never delete a pet tag without owner action — the QR code may still be physically on a pet)
- Payment screenshots: Kept for 1 year for dispute resolution
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — anything you've given us
- Edit your account, pet tag info, or address at any time
- Delete your account or pet tags (email us to delete account)
- Export your order history (email us)
- Opt out of marketing emails

10. Children
Our service isn't intended for children under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you're a parent and find your child has an account, please email us to delete it.
11. Data Security
We use industry-standard security:
- All connections to our site are encrypted (HTTPS/SSL)
- Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication (we never see them)
- Payment data uses Firebase Storage with restricted access
- Admin access requires a separate verification
While we do our best, no system is 100% secure. If there's a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you within 72 hours.
12. Changes to This Policy
We'll update this policy as our business evolves. Material changes will be emailed to registered users. Date of last update is at the top of this page.
